BLACK PEPPER BEEF STEAK

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 500 gram True Aussie Beef Sirloin

Marinade, mix together  :

  • 1 tbsp Barbeque sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • thyme

Black Pepper Sauce :

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp chicken stock powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 200 ml water
  • 1 tbsp margarine

Method

Instructions

  1. Heat a fry pan, add in margarine and onion, sautee.
  2. Add in flour, and cook on low heat. Add water and stir well.
  3. Add in chicken stock, salt, sugar, black pepper, nutmeg and tomato sauce. Stir well to boil.

Steak:

Marinade the sirloin and keep in a sealed container in fridge overnight. Heat a fry pan and add in the sirloin. Add in thyme. Cook steak to taste.

Tips: cut steak into thin slices and put on a slice of toast. Cut into bite size for a canape.
